Field Technician
Position Summary
The Field Technician will be a member of service department and will
assist the service department with more tasks pertaining to the department’s
operations and management. The position
will report to the Branch Service Manager.
Responsibilities
·
Responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment
in the field
·
Travel to job site and will review the job
assignment, determine potential parts and tools needed for the job, possible
purchasing of specialty tools needed
·
Will conduct interview with machine operator to
verify symptoms of equipment problem
·
Responsible for conducting electronic diagnosis of
broken equipment
·
Determine and execute the best solution for the
repair
·
Reschedule service if additional parts or tolls are
needed to complete the repair
·
Return all unused parts to parts department along
with used cores if required
·
Take pictures of repair issues and serial numbers of
new and used parts
·
Tag all warranty parts and complete necessary
warranty paperwork
·
Will need to complete all service work orders and
technician write-ups for the job
·
Communicated job status and updates to service
manager
·
Track and document labor hours according to shop or
field time
·
Ensure company vehicle is stocked with shop
supplies, track mileage of company used vehicle
·
Responsible for notifying service manager of any
company vehicle service needs
·
Maintain cleanliness and organization of company
vehicle
·
Execute all work duties according to OSHA/MSHA
guidelines
·
Adhere to safe driving per federal, state, local and
DOT guidelines
·
Additional duties assigned by manager
